We were delighted to have been asked by the owner of Ivelhurst to continue with the design for the alterations and expansion of the nursing home.
The latest addition of the three storey West wing extension was completed towards the end of 2014 and is now fully established and working as part of the home. The extension provides a physical link between the main Ivelhurst building facing Preston Road and the smaller home to the rear which is on The Park.
We were clear in our design to incorporate features and detailing which are in evidence on the properties in the adjoining Park conservation area. The brickwork and render detailing along with the tower roof section ensure that the extension compliments and actually helps to enhance the adjoining conservation area.
The extension was completed to a high standard by a local Building Contractor, and the whole project was a joy to be involved with at every stage from the design to contract administration.
