Beginnings

Alan Young set up a sole practitioner practice in 1986, having completed a BSc degree in Building Surveying at Leicester Polytechnic, and became an Associate Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors in 1984.

What we do

We provide a prompt and professional service for a whole range of projects irrespective of size, from the architectural design of small extensions to dwelling houses and refurbishment of period listed buildings through to the design of modern traditional or modern contemporary housing.

Our Work

We are proud to have been entrusted with the design of prestigious residential properties in London and Windsor, for a well-known celebrity. Alan has also recently appeared as a surveying consultant on the BBC’s property programme Cowboy Trap.

Local roots, local links

We have well-established links with other local professional organisations, including structural engineers, energy consultants, professional advisors in respect of the Town & Country Planning Act, ecological consultants, highways drainage surveyors and designers. We also have a very good working relationship with the Local Authority Planning and Building Regulation Departments.
